Tips to keep health care costs down:


  • Visit your doctor annually for your free health & wellness check
  • Participate in the Health Fair in March
  • Get your free flu shot this Fall
  • Reduce your stress by joining a gym that offers discounted memberships
  • Take 20 minutes a day for you (Walk, Bike, Hike, Swim, Yoga, etc…)
  • Take advantage of the District’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for FREE counseling services.
  • Ask your doctor if there is a good generic alternative to your brand name medication. 
  • Quit Smoking!  On average smokers cost an extra $1,600 a year in health care costs.
  • Wash Your Hands!  Health experts estimate that 80% of common infections are spread through hand contact
