New Hire Information

Welcome to the Montrose County School District RE-1J! 

We're so excited that you have become part of the MCSD team. 

Steps following the acceptance of the position:
1. The HR department will contact you confirming your hire and welcoming you to the District. The next steps will also be outlined.
2. Confirmation of a Colorado teaching license will take place. Educators must hold a valid Colorado Teaching License in order to work for MCSD. To apply for your license or check  the status, visit the Colorado Department of Education at
If you are an ESP (Educational Support Professional), you must submit fingerprints as soon as you are hired. Contact Lori Hernandez at P: 970-249-7726 or for information on fingerprinting.
3. New Hire paperwork will need to be completed within three days of your start date.
