Montrose, Colorado. Tim Schultz, President and Executive Director of the Boettcher Foundation recently announced that Montrose High School Senior, Meredith Brown, has been selected as a 2006 Boettcher Foundation Scholarship recipient.  Miss Brown is the daughter of Mike and Teresa Brown of Montrose.

According to Mr. Schultz, “The Boettcher Scholarship program has sought to reward outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate the potential to make significant contributions to Colorado.  The scholarship consists of full tuition, fees, a book allowance and an annual stipend for living expenses.  The scholarship is granted for eight semesters at either a private or public four-year college or university within the state.  Selection is strictly “merit-based,” allowing all seniors in Colorado to compete based upon their individual accomplishments.  To be eligible for this prestigious award, a student must rank among the top 5% of their graduating class and have a score of at least 1200 on the SAT or 27 on the ACT.”
