Montrose High School Publications Classes Receive State Awards

Kathy Gaber Receives Publications Teacher of the Year

Montrose, Colorado. Kathy Gaber, Montrose High School Journalism Teacher, has been named the Publications Teacher of the Year by the Colorado High School Press Association. According to CHSPA, “Kathy, you are an exemplary teacher, advisor, and colleague. You are appreciated by all of those with whom you work for your boundless energy, your expertise and professionalism, and the many sacrifices you make for your students and school.”

In addition, Montrose High School’s newspaper, The Chieftain, and their television program, Channel M, recently received the following awards from the Colorado High School Press Association:
