Mission:

The mission of the Columbine Middle School Library is to provide materials and services for students and teachers for educational needs as well as personal enrichment and enjoyment. The library is dedicated to providing practical access to all forms of media. The educational needs of elementary and secondary students will be supported to stimulate children’s interests and appreciation for reading and learning.

Loan Periods: 

Books circulate for a period of 10 school days. Reference materials circulate for one period during the day or overnight .All reference materials are due the following school day by first period. Magazines are for use in the Learning Center only.

Overdue Policy: 

All students are given a one day grace period. After that time, they are charged 10 cents per day per book overdue. We have a maximum overdue charge of $3 per book. Homeroom teachers are emailed an overdue book list weekly. There is also an overdue list posted in the Library.
