By your child's fifth birthday he/she should be able to do the following:
 
  • Walk forward heal to toe
  • Cut on a line with scissors
  • Share and take turns
  • Follow directions
  • Count to 10
  • Match pictures: circle to circle, square to square, etc.
  • Show interest in numbers and letters
  • Gallop with good coordination
  • Play imaginatively
