The School Health services includes a staff of school-based Health Technicians and one Registered Nurse. The Health Technician works under the direction of the building principal and the district Registered Nurse. The use of services of physicians, dentists and community health agencies is recommended for routine health care. Health Technicians are trained in Basic First Aid. Health Technicians are NOT permitted to make medical diagnoses or prescribe medication. (See medication administration) Please review the following policies: Immunizations: Each student is required to have a completed Certificate of Immunization at registration. Vision and hearing screenings are conducted at specific grade levels. You will be notified if your child fails a screening. A health history form needs to be filled out each year and returned to the school. Parent is responsible for updating information. Please do not send your child to school if he/she is ill with a fever, persistent cough, contagious disease, unidentified rash, or nausea and vomiting. |

| MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION |
Ann can serve ages birth to 21 through the Colorado Department of Education for audiological needs without additional charge. Referrals for infant screening or evaluations of uninsured children 0-21 are welcome. Call Ann Forsberg, M.A. 249-2405 ext 5625 for information. |
