A little bit about myself...............

I was born and raised in Northwest Ohio. After completion of High School, I attended Bowling Green State University, in Ohio, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education.

During the summers of '96, '97, and '98, I worked on a Dude ranch in Almont, Co. I developed a love for Colorado and knew I wanted to begin my career on the western slope. I started teaching 8th grade English at Olathe Middle School in August of 2000. I worked at Olathe for two years until I transfered to Centennial Middle School. I worked at Centennial for 3 years where I taught 8th and 9th grade English and 9th grade Drama.

In the summer of 2005, I moved to the front range to teach at Conrad Ball Middle School in Loveland. Fortunately, Con Ball was the Colorado School to watch and so I had the extraordinary priviledge of working with Chris Tovani. Tovani is a published author who travels all around the United States teaching educators how to teach reading to all students.

After many months of deliberating, my husband's job brought us back to the Western Slope, and my career back to Olathe Middle. I have been back now for two years and look forward to the upcoming school year.

I don't have much spare time between two toddlers and 80 plus 8th graders; however, I do look forward to spending time with my husband and two children, gardening, cooking, and reading.
