Serving nearly 6,000 students across Montrose, Olathe, and nearby areas, our schools are vibrant places where learning is hands-on, challenges are met with support, and students are encouraged to discover what excites them.

Our strength comes from the strong partnerships between teachers, staff, families, and community members. We invest in growing great educators through programs like our Teaching and Learning Academy, and provide students with real-world opportunities, such as those offered through our Career Pathways program.

Preparing Students for What Comes Next
Our mission is to provide every student with a safe and academically challenging environment where they can learn and grow. We want all students entering our high schools to graduate ready—with the knowledge and life skills they need to pursue college, careers, or other post-secondary opportunities without the need for remediation. Helping students build confidence and real-world skills is at the heart of everything we do.

Dr. Carrie Stephenson
Dr. Stephenson is a graduate of Montrose County School District. Her passion for education was sparked by participating in a career and technical education program at Montrose High School. Since then she has spent over 30 years in education as a teacher, principal, Director of Elementary Education and Executive Director of School Leadership.
