The Montrose County School District's Communications Department is dedicated to keeping families, staff, and the community informed and engaged. Open Records Requests

The Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) is a state law that promotes transparency in government. It gives the public the right to request and access many records created or kept by public entities, including public schools and school districts. CORA helps ensure accountability by allowing community members to understand how public institutions operate, while also protecting certain records that are confidential by law.
