WE HELP STUDENTS ACCOMPLISH THEIR PURPOSE BY BUILDING AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS.


We will provide opportunities for students not succeeding in the traditional classroom setting by providing
        Academic credit through hands on lessons
        Career explanation activities
        Vocational work experience
        Extended teacher/peer support

Teach desirable social outcomes; provide flexible and integrated academic and vocationally oriented curriculum and employability skills with emphasis on preparing for life after school in our community.

For the 2023-2024 school year, priority will be given to students who have not been successful in the traditional classroom setting and/or are currently not receiving school based intervention.

24-25 Homecomming

Homecoming is just around the corner, with the theme being wonderland. We are thrilled for the festivities to begin on September 16th with spirit week, leading up to the parade on September 20th and the dance on September 21st at the football stadium from 7pm-11pm. BCHS students will not be permitted to bring guests, as we are the guests ourselves. Tickets will be $20.00 for those without an activity pass and will be available for purchase during spirit week from Mrs. Carolina. Before purchasing a ticket, make sure you meet the requirements of passing all classes, maintaining an attendance rate of 70% or higher, and having no behavior issues.

PICTURE DAY

SEPTEMBER 23, 2024.

Welcome to our new school year BCHS families! As per tradition, we will be taking student pictures and offering packages for purchase. These packages are available in our building, so if you're interested in buying one, please see me. Make sure to attend on the specified day, as we will also be giving out school IDs to all students. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our office at 970-252-7913. Picture and ID day is scheduled for September 23rd. Please make sure your student doesn't miss this day as we wont have a make-up/re-take day, Thank you!

Long weekend coming up

NO SCHOOL

                           The long weekend is coming up on September 2nd and 3rd due to Labor Day and PLP day, which means no school. Enjoy your four-day weekend, stay safe, and have fun!

El fin de semana largo se acerca el 2 y 3 de septiembre debido al Día del Trabajo y dia de PLP para los maestros, lo cual significa que no hay clases. ¡Disfruten su fin de semana de cuatro días, manténganse seguros y diviértanse!

New School Mascot

We are very excited to share with all of our Black Canyon Families that we now have school mascot! we will be the RATTLE SNAKES !! 
 We will be working in our new logo and will reveal this as soon as it is complete. Thank you for all of our students input and all the effort they put in to choose a mascot for our school.

BCHS Technology Reminder

Ipads/Technology fee's

We are very excited to announce that we have received our student iPads. Last week we sent our Parent/Student Family Technology Reminder Form, we hope you can sit down as a family and read a few general recommendations for the use of iPads. There will be a $30.00 fee, we will ONLY accept cash or checks. If you have any questions about our iPads or tech fees please contact our office.
