WE HELP STUDENTS ACCOMPLISH THEIR PURPOSE BY BUILDING AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS.

We will provide opportunities for students not succeeding in the traditional classroom setting by providing

Academic credit through hands on lessons

Career explanation activities

Vocational work experience

Extended teacher/peer support

Teach desirable social outcomes; provide flexible and integrated academic and vocationally oriented curriculum and employability skills with emphasis on preparing for life after school in our community.

For the 2023-2024 school year, priority will be given to students who have not been successful in the traditional classroom setting and/or are currently not receiving school based intervention.

IN PERSON REGISTRATION/ 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

AUGUST 1- 2ND NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION ALL RETURNING STUDENTS COME AND REGISTER ON AUGUST 5TH -6TH

The in-person registration will take place on August 1st and 2nd. If your child is a returning student from BCHS, you can complete the registration online, but if you prefer to come in person, that is also fine, as we are happy to assist you. More information about the schedule will be posted as the date approaches. It is important to keep in mind that if your student is new to BCHS, you will need to bring a birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of address.

Si su hijo es un estudiante que regresa de BCHS, puede completar el registro en línea, pero si prefiere venir en persona, eso también está bien, ya que estamos felices de ayudarlo. all students who plan to return to school in August MUST complete an online registration. This is currently open now. Here are instructions:

Once logged in, click on “More” => “Online Registration” => “Start” for OLR for School Year 24-25 Existing Student Registration.

End of 23-24 School Year

It was an amazing year at BCHS with Mr. Christensen as our principal. We celebrated the graduation of 34 students with mixed emotions of pride and sadness. Congratulations to our resilient graduates! The BCHS staff will miss you, but we are also looking forward to our 3rd year at the school. We know it will be challenging, but we are ready for it. For those on the waiting list, our office will contact you soon to inform you of your child's placement at BCHS. The first day of the 2024-2025 school year is on August 13th and we are excited to welcome everyone back and create more wonderful memories together.

Fue un año increíble en BCHS con el Sr. Christensen como nuestro director. Celebramos la graduación de 34 estudiantes con emociones encontradas de orgullo y tristeza. ¡Felicidades a nuestros graduados resilientes! El personal de BCHS los extrañará, pero también esperamos con ansias nuestro tercer año en la escuela. Sabemos que será desafiante, pero estamos listos para ello. Para aquellos en la lista de espera, nuestra oficina se pondrá en contacto pronto para informarles sobre la ubicación de su hijo en BCHS. El primer día del año escolar 2024-2025 es el 13 de Agosto y estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida a todos y crear más maravillosos recuerdos juntos.

New School Mascot

We are very excited to share with all of our Black Canyon Families that we now have school mascot! we will be the RATTLE SNAKES !!

We will be working in our new logo and will reveal this as soon as it is complete. Thank you for all of our students input and all the effort they put in to choose a mascot for our school.

BCHS Technology Reminder

Ipads/Technology fee's

We are very excited to announce that we have received our student iPads. Last week we sent our Parent/Student Family Technology Reminder Form, we hope you can sit down as a family and read a few general recommendations for the use of iPads. There will be a $30.00 fee, we will ONLY accept cash or checks. If you have any questions about our iPads or tech fees please contact our office.
