High School Athletic Events

Hello, Redhawk Community,

As we gear up for the 2024-2025 athletics season, we want to take a moment to communicate some extracurricular guidelines that we hope will help create a positive and enthusiastic environment for participants and attendees of Montrose High School events.
  • Respectful Behavior: Respectful behavior throughout games is critical.  This includes treating fellow attendees, players, coaches, officials, and staff with kindness and consideration.

  • Cheering and Support: Students should show their support for our teams by cheering and clapping. Excessive or inappropriate behavior, including negative comments or gestures, may result in removal from the game.

  • Parental Supervision: Guardian presence and supervision is required for elementary-age children and strongly encouraged for middle school students.  Please do not allow children to run unattended.

  • Stay in Designated Areas: It is essential that all students stay within the designated seating and viewing areas.  At football games, middle school students should remain in the “middle school” section of the bleachers unless sitting with parents/guardians.  Elementary-age children must be accompanied by an adult.  Running, climbing on fences, loitering in bathrooms and around concessions, venturing onto the field, or other unsafe activities can pose risks to children and others.

  • Trash Disposal: Patrons should use the provided trash bins to keep the stadium clean and litter-free.

  • Arrival and Departure: Please be aware of the start and end-times of games to minimize unsupervised periods.

Your support in promoting positive behavior is greatly appreciated; we value your help in creating a safe and spirited atmosphere for all attendees at MHS extracurricular events!

Thanks for all you do for our MHS community!
