Peak Academy Student Hub

Everything You Need to Know as a Peak Student

This is the Peak Academy Student Hub, where you can find information on your schedules, log-in sites, and the Peak and Montrose County School District calendar. For log in information and technology help visit the Peak Technology Help Page.

School Hours

Peak is open to students on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:45 in the morning until 3:45 in the afternoon. On Wednesdays we are open for students until 2:30pm.  Hybrid students can come in to study in the great room, take tests, and ask for assistance during teacher help time. Online students should schedule in-person meetings with their teachers.

Staying on Track

Peak students should be capable of independent study and feel comfortable approaching teachers when they need help. On average, students should plan to spend 1-2 hours of school work per class every day. Students who fall behind the pacing and/or have an actual grade below 65% will be required to have a meeting with their parents and the Student Engagement Coordinator to develop an Action Plan. This plan will include parental involvement and may consist of an attendance contract and an in-person schedule until the student is back on track.

Schedules

While many traditional schools use semesters, Peak's schedule consists of trimesters. That means the school year is divided into three terms instead of two. Hybrid students can follow the link below to obtain schedules, Peak Online students will get their schedules from their online teachers.

Extracurricular Activities

Peak Academy extracurriculars range from working with drones, to building community through student council. Through our  Problem Based Learning (PBL) programs, students develop real-world skills beyond the classroom.

Athletics and Music
Peak does not offer athletic or musical programs. However, eligible Peak students may participate in these activities at the MCSD school associated with their home address. This also applies to any other extracurricular activities not offered at Peak. Ask at the office for details!
