Technology Lab

Oak Grove Elementary Tech Lab

All classes, Kindergarten through 5th grade, are scheduled to come to the lab one to two times per week.

Our tech lab has 30 Mac mini computers for students to use. Students use the computers in a variety ways:

The lab is also used for occasional research and Accelerated Reader Quizzes (AR).

Reading and Math Intervention

It is our goal to meet every students’ needs by providing appropriate, targeted, researched based instruction in both math and reading.

Reading:
  • Programs used: SIPPS, Orton-Gillingham, Read Naturally
  • Small groups of six students will meet for 30 minutes four times a week.
  • Progress monitoring every 10 days using DIBELS

Math:
  • The Bridges Intervention program is used to target specific skills needed to become grade level proficient.
  • Small groups of six students will meet for 30 minutes four times a week.
  • Progress monitoring every 5th lesson.
